Stearns County Board of Commissioners District 4 special election is Tuesday, Aug. 12
Voters will fill out ballots for the Stearns County Board of Commissioners District 4 special election's primary this coming Tuesday, Aug. 12. District 4 covers parts of Waite Park and St. Cloud.
Six candidates filed for the post vacated by former Commissioner Leigh Lenzmeier, who resigned on April 23 after concerns about his cognitive abilities were called in question by his wife in a guardianship battle that was ultimately dismissed.
A primary is happening because six candidates filed for office. Voters can find their polling location on the Minnesota Secretary of State's website. Stearns County has additional in-person absentee voting hours from 8 am. 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 11, at the Stearns County Service Center, 3301 County Road 138 in Waite Park.
The top two candidated will go head-to-head in the general election scheduled for Nov. 4.
