Election 2026: New candidate (D) announces campaign for Olmsted County Attorney
(ABC 6 News) — Another candidate is throwing her hat into the ring for Olmsted County Attorney.
Karen MacLaughlin announced she is running for the position on Monday. She has been an attorney for 27 years, including 17 years as an Assistant Olmsted County Attorney.
MacLaughlin is also the current Rochester school board director and treasurer and has been working for a regional legal aid non-profit for the past seven years.
MacLaughlin said she is running on a platform of modernizing public safety and reimagining the role of the Olmsted County Attorney.
