heck of a lot more than 60k. Must be the Glen Taylor/Star Trib guess-ta-least number.

with one (yes, one) arrest. A "counter protester" who was spraying a "chemical irritant" into the crowd.

I regret that I did not make it thanks in part to a sore leg that made me worry about walking too far and a couple sick kids that kept my nieces from going.

we got there about 1 (after the march and partway into the rally) mainly because I get a little anxious around crowds and I physically cannot stand or walk for long. But it was still packed!

It was peaceful and when I did see police it was more of a traffic control issue. Great discussions were had waiting and while on the light rail. I was impressed at all ages, all race/ethnic groups, genders and so much positive energy!

Can I just say how much I love being a Minnesotan? I love that the updates included the weather (warm in the 30's - only up north is 30 warm), what type of footwear because of snow, and of course lots and lots of port-a-potties.

Yesterday I was so defeated - today I felt real hope!

I have toyed with the idea of going there to the Winter Carnival, but then I remember that I have an "allergy" to cold weather.
