Missouri governor activates National Guard, declares state of emergency

https://www.msn.com/en-us/public-safety-and-emergencies/health-and-safety-alerts/missouri-governor-activates-national-guard-declares-state-of-emergency/ar-AA1GFiTH?ocid=BingNewsSerp

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe (R) on Thursday declared a state of emergency and activated the state’s National Guard in anticipation of protests across the state — and in response to “civil unrest” across the country.

Missouri Executive Order 25-25 declares a State of Emergency and allows the Adjutant General to order service members to aid state officials.

The order comes after the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Missouri National Guard and Missouri Department of Public Safety established a Unified Command to monitor situations across the state and prepare local law enforcement.

Republican asshole gov.

Donald Trump is a convicted felon and is Putin's Puppet. He is also a rapist.

ON EDIT: Should I post this to Latest Breaking News? Or is this NOT a national attention getter? I figure if the GOP/Nazi "leaders" are rolling out this bullshit state by state, well god damn, we are all living in a police state.

In this case, the coward Republican governor isn't justified in asking, but it's his right to do it and so there it is.

In California, SHItler didn't wait for the Governor to ask, he just carried out a COUP of California government, shoving the Guard in there WITHOUT and against the will of the Governor. THAT is illegal and unconstitutional.

Also, GOP pols are not great of reading the room. The more they push, the more they get pushed back by We The People who have had enough of the fascist storm troopers. The more insecure they get, sensing our fury, the weirder and more paranoid they get.

Texass as well. This is an attempt to reduce the number
of protestors against the republican anti-freedom, anti-
democracy regime. Because that might make Captain Senile
unhappy.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) said early Wednesday that the Texas National Guard is prepared to “ensure peace & order” in his state, as protests against President Trump’s immigration crackdown spread beyond California.

“Peaceful protest is legal,” Abbott wrote on social platform X. “Harming a person or property is illegal & will lead to arrest.”

He added the National Guard troops would “help law enforcement maintain order.”

because they must complete their takeover and conversion of the U.S. Government before the 2026 midterm elections, not that they intend to allow a legal vote in any Republican controlled state.

in his state.

" monitor situations across the state and prepare local law enforcement"
is an admission that they are PREPARING for what hasn't happened in MO.

So without objective evidence, MO's governor declares an emergency when there is no emergency.

The height of fearmongering stupidity.

Protest is the patriotic response.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

One of the rally organizers said there were 7000 people lining Manchester Road! That's up from the 2000 that showed up last time on April 5th. Governor Kehoe did not need his National Guard call up to quell a riotous mob! Everything was peaceful. What ticked me off is we're paying for Kehoe's hysteria! The Republicans are pretty ridiculous. They had Hawley on the local FOX channel acting like they were going to World War III. What a bunch of pearl clutchers! Met some nice people and enjoyed all the protest signs! Some very creative folks in St. Louis. Pretty nice weather and about 2 hours of waving and holding signs. Lots of support from people driving by--honks and waves.
On a cynical note, just read an article that said Trump would be giving Missouri Fema money for the tornado and flood damage. Wonder if that's why Kehoe called up the National Guard--to show Krasnov that Kehoe's willing to be an authoritarian jerk, too. Both of them are absurd!
