New Bloomfield to participate in special election
New Bloomfield voters will participate in a special election next week.
Polls will be open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 5.
Voters will decide whether to approve up to $3 million in funding for the New Bloomfield Fire Protection District.
The ballot question is: "Shall the New Bloomfield Fire Protection District issue its general obligation bonds in the amount of $3,000,000 for the purpose of acquiring real property; constructing, furnishing and equipping a new fire station; renovating, improving and expanding existing fire station; and acquiring fire trucks, vehicles and other firefighting and emergency apparatus and equipment?"
