Several school incumbents lose re-election bids

BARTLETT — Election Day was rough for a few incumbent school board members across the Mount Washington Valley on Tuesday. Chief among those who failed to retain their three-year seats was Scott Grant, who was seeking an 11th term on the Bartlett School Board.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, Nella Thompson in Eaton and Sarah DeMartino in Madison both fell short in their re-election bids.

Also in Madison, while it has its problems, voters weren’t willing to move away from the SB2 form of government for the school district, defeating an article that would have reverted back to traditional school district meeting 321-252.

In Bartlett, the lone contested race on either the town or school ballot was for two three-year seats on the school board.
