New NYC mayoral poll shows Mamdani holding sizable lead, Adams trailing in single digits

Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani holds a 15-point lead against his opponents, according to a new poll released Wednesday.

The Emerson College/PIX11/The Hill poll found that Mamdani captured 43% of voters, while ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo got 28%. GOP candidate Curtis Sliwa received 10% and Mayor Adams got 7%. Nine percent were undecided.

Nearly a quarter, or 23% of respondents, responded that there was a chance they could change their mind and vote for a different candidate. Adams voters were the most likely to shift allegiances, with 66% of supporters saying they will “definitely” support him.

The results of the Emerson poll come a day after another poll, by Siena College and the New York Times, that showed Mamdani winning the race by 22 points.
