Rory Lancman has confronted powerful politicians of both parties who break the law, made it harder for criminals to prey on women, children and the elderly, and held accountable institutions that harbor and spread antisemitism and all forms of bigotry.

Rory Lancman is a former state assemblyman and New York City councilman living in Great Neck who served in New York's own 42nd Infantry Division. Rory is a nationally recognized attorney for a prominent civil rights organization fighting antisemitism on Long Island and across the country, and is a significant contributor to improving life in Nassau County and saving taxpayers money.
Rory was elected a trustee of the Great Neck Library on a platform opposing censorship, and he served two years as president. Rory oversaw the Public Service Commission from its Plainview office as New York State Special Counsel for Ratepayer Protection, where he helped impose record fines on PSEG and establish two new water authorities to lower rates.
Rory served as Vice Chairman of the Nassau County Interim Finance Authority and exposed wasteful spending and improper budgeting practices in County government. And Rory currently serves on the board of the Nassau University Medical Center, and chairs the finance committee, working to save NUMC from insolvency.
