Election Watch: Lange announces bid for Ward 5 seat on Statesville City Council

Former Statesville Planning Board chairman and real estate professional Todd Lange has officially filed to run for the Ward 5 seat on the Statesville City Council in the November election.

Touting his record of strategic problem-solving and dedication to managing the city’s growth and preservation, Lange said he is ready to serve Statesville with integrity and vision.

“My wife Sheila and I chose to move to downtown Statesville from Huntersville in 2008. We were looking for some place that was different from suburbia. We saw in Statesville an appreciation for tradition, an extraordinary sense of community, and a character all its own,” he said in his campaign announcement. “The makeup of the Council after this election will change dramatically, and we will have a new mayor. Now more than ever, we need steady, experienced, and collaborative leaders who have vision to ensure Statesville continues to grow and thrive.”

Lange, 64, is co-lead of the award-winning Lange Homes Team with Allen Tate Realtors, where he helps families and investors achieve their real estate goals. In 2024, he was honored with the Barbara Tate Legendary Service Award, recognizing his exceptional commitment to clients, colleagues, and the community.
