Town leaders to address growth in Pittsboro, expected to approve major development

PITTSBORO, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Pittsboro Board of Commissioners will discuss the Reeves Farm Development in a meeting on Monday night and consider approving Phase One of the project.

"This is a major development project on the west side of town," town spokesperson Colby Sawyer said.

The project would ultimately transform nearly 500 acres along Route 64, west of downtown Pittsboro, into thousands of homes and retail.

According to the State Demographer's latest municipal population estimates, Pittsboro's population grew by 31%, reaching nearly 6,000 people by 2024.
