Protesters Demand Saffron Colonial “Stop Romanticizing Colonialism”

Last week, much like Vasco da Gama, we discovered* a new British colonialism-themed restaurant on North Williams called Saffron Colonial, and questioned and questioned the wisdom of bringing a cocktail called the "Plantation Press" to a rapidly gentrifying street.

It is my opinion as a Portland resident myself that many lily white Portland liberals are tone deaf to issues important to people of color. I find this shop extremely offensive to the African American community of N Portland especially since many have been PUSHED to Gresham.
