In order to get prog talk radio going in Portland again, we'll need a true community effort, like KBOO. Relying on corporate resources to spread an inherently anti-corporate message is folly.

you need to own a radio station. Are there any stations that are not already owned by one of the big corps, or any way to buy one from them?

Know it's not Portland, but Eugene lost it's progressive station and Ed Shultz was going to buy it up, right before he went to MSNBC. It's still off air and open for sale by the Arlie group. Now that we've lost KPOJ also it's a major loss.
