Primary Election Mail Ballot Application Deadline is Tomorrow
HARRISBURG, Pa. (EYT) Voters who want to cast their ballots by mail in Pennsylvanias May 20 municipal primary must apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, according to Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt.
Schmidt said the Shapiro Administration wants every eligible voter to be well-informed about the voting process and emphasized the importance of acting quickly to meet the mail ballot deadline. As of May 8, counties had already approved 778,706 mail ballot applications.
Voters who wish to vote by mail should apply today, Schmidt said at a Capitol press conference last week, so they still have time to receive their ballot, complete it, and return it by 8 p.m. on Primary Day.
Ballot applications can be submitted online, by mail, or in person at a county board of elections office. Voters who apply in person can receive, complete, and return their ballot during the same visit, according to the Department of State.
