For a while, I attributed his jarring remarks supporting Trump to the stroke having scrambled his perceptions of morality, now I'm not so sure. One thing that I am sure of is that the people of Pennsylvania are not being well served.
We've seen quite a few politicians run as Democrats, only to become turncoats and side with Republicans on major issues that betray the fundamental beliefs of the Democratic Party, and sabotage important initiatives that actually help people. Some quit the Party and join the Dark Side, but some stay and do as much damage as they can get away with.
What does your conscience tell you, Senator? Do you even have one? Or maybe the real question should be: What has Trump got on you, John? Trump's malignant minions dig for dirt on everybody; that's one lesson of Roy Cohn's that he learned very well. I doubt you were exempt from such oppo research.
