More than 792,000 mail ballots requested in Pennsylvania's primary election

(WHTM)– The Pennsylvania Department of State has begun releasing daily mail ballot reports for the May primary.

There have been 792,472 mail ballot applications sent out, and 32,121 ballots returned as of last Monday morning, according to data pulled from the Pennsylvania voter registration database and the Statewide Uniform Registry of Electors (SURE) system.

The Department of State said that the data is pulled once a day and can be found on its website. The data gathered contains three categories: absentee ballots, mail-in ballots, and total ballots, with each category including data by county.

So far, the most ballots have been sent out in Allegheny County (105,822), with only 220 ballots returned as of Monday.
