Don't engage with juveniles soliciting money at several Charleston Co. businesses, authorities say

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) — Juveniles are soliciting money in front of various businesses in the Charleston County area, authorities say.

The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office believes the signs they are using are fictitious and that they are obtaining money through false pretenses.

They are urging residents not to engage with these juveniles.

If anyone believes they have been a victim of the scam, they are asked to contact Detective D. Harris at ddharris@charlestoncounty.org or Master Deputy B. Marra at bmarra@charlestoncounty.org.
