Taylor ISD board calls for bond election

TAYLOR, Texas — The Board of Trustees with the Taylor Independent School District (ISD) have called for a bond election.
District officials say two ballot propositions will help to address campus improvements and for resources in the classrooms for teachers and students.

- Proposition A, which would set aside $147 million for construction and renovations.
- Proposition B, which would set aside $650,000 for academic programs.

The election would also lower the school district's tax rate by four cents per $100 value.

A recent demographic report found the district is expected to double in size by 2032. Voters will be able to vote on both propositions on the November ballot.
