Trader Joe's sets opening date for Greenwood store
Trader Joe’s has set an opening date for its sixth Seattle location.
The 14,000-square-foot store, situated at the base of the Hemlock apartments at 8726 Greenwood Ave. N., is set to open its doors at 9 a.m. Friday, the company announced.
It will be the popular grocery chain's first new Seattle location in more than 13 years, after opening a store in West Seattle in early 2012.
Trader Joe’s has hired 40 people to work at the Greenwood store, according to a Tuesday news release. Staff have been relocated to the store from other locations as well.
