Redmond vaccine maker to lay off 76 employees

Redmond-based vaccine maker Inventprise is laying off roughly 76 employees.

The company disclosed the layoffs in a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification filed with the state of Washington on Thursday. According to the notice, the first round of layoffs go into effect at the end of the year, with additional layoffs in February and March.

Inventprise hasn't yet responded to a request for comment on the layoffs.

In the notice, Inventprise Chief People Officer Rachael Moss said the layoffs affect employees in Redmond and Woodinville, where the company has a manufacturing facility. The layoffs will also impact some remote employees. The notice said employees in quality control, manufacturing and research, among other roles, are being let go.
