Here's how ballot measures across King County are faring in the November 2025 general election

King County voters weighed in on a diverse array of local measures this election, deciding the fate of levies for schools, parks, fire protection services, and Medic Ones. With initial results now in, early trends are beginning to emerge. Some measures are passing comfortably and others are failing. Let’s look at how each of those local propositions fared in the initial tabulations released tonight by King County Elections.

King County Proposition 1: Medic One – Emergency Medical Services Levy Renewal

Voters across King County had to decide whether to renew the six-year emergency medical services (EMS) levy that funds the world-renowned Medic One system.

Proposition 1 would maintain the current rate of about $0.25 per $1,000 of assessed property value (roughly $212 per year for an $850,000 home) to sustain the county’s network of paramedics, first responders, 911 dispatch technology, and readiness for medical emergencies. This is not a new tax, but a replacement of an existing levy, ensuring that King County’s coordinated emergency response system continues uninterrupted.

In initial returns, the levy is passing with an enormous margin:
