Voters approving Mukilteo levy, rejecting Edmonds levy

EVERETT — Voters in Edmonds were rejecting a property tax levy lid lift to fund city services, early results showed, as a levy to fund emergency services in Mukilteo was passing.

The county will continue counting ballots throughout the week and will certify election results Nov. 25.

A $14.5 million property tax levy lid lift in Edmonds was failing with only 39.6% of votes in favor, initial results showed.

My property tax will go up around $500 a year. Money well spent. I am lucky to live in a city with incredible public services. We do pay for them, but worth the cost. Snohomish County in general has a high standard of living. Perhaps why we are one of the top destinations for newcomers.
