U.S. 2 partially reopened after rollover collision Wednesday

EVERETT — Law enforcement has partially reopened the roadway after a rollover crash blocked U.S. 2 Wednesday. Drivers should expect delays and drive with caution as the westbound lanes remain blocked.

Around 12:25 p.m. Wednesday, fire crews responded to reports of the rollover vehicle collision on westbound U.S. 2 at 20th Street Southeast, according to an Everett Fire Department social media post. Upon arrival, firefighters began work to extinguish a fire that involved the vehicle.

First responders transported two individuals to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

As of 3:35 p.m., the eastbound U.S. 2 ramp to State Route 204 is open. Westbound lanes near milepost 2 remain blocked, according to a Washington Department of Transportation social media post.
