Lake Stevens is requesting designs for Cavalero Hill Park development

EVERETT — Lake Stevens is soliciting proposals from organizations to plan, construct and manage a regional multi-use community recreation and sports complex at Cavalero Hill Park.

The city set aside 8.5 acres of land within Cavalero Hill for development, Parks and Recreation Director Sarah Garceau told The Herald in October after Lake Stevens officially took over park control from Snohomish County.

Now the city is taking the next step in building out Cavalero Hill by requesting design proposals for evaluation, Garceau said in an email. Organizations must submit before 4 p.m. on Dec. 10.

“The project is envisioned as a modern, multi-use community asset that serves all age groups, with robust recreational programming, senior services, and an indoor synthetic turf sports complex,” Garceau wrote.
