What HB 1687 does
Washingtons Housing Cooperation Law already allows cities and counties to support public housing authorities through Housing Cooperation Agreements. That assistance can include the following, as summarized by nonpartisan staff:
granting, leasing, or selling property or easements;
providing services, funding, loans, or in-kind support;
providing infrastructure or recreational facilities in connection with a housing project;
granting exceptions from zoning, building regulations, or ordinances.
