Swiss airline permanently cancels Seattle route
Edelweiss Air permanently canceled its nonstop seasonal route between Seattle and Zurich this summer, the Swiss airline announced Thursday.
Attributing the move to the war in Iran, skyrocketing fuel prices and a decreased demand for “certain destinations” in the U.S., Edelweiss will cut its service immediately.
A spokesperson for the carrier confirmed the cut would be permanent.
Perry Cooper, spokesperson for the Port of Seattle, which oversees the airport, said in an email that it's “always disappointing to lose service opportunities for SEA travelers."
