Ballard Avenue Landmark District Announces Annual Election Results for Two Positions
The Ballard Avenue Landmark District Board announces its annual election results. Two positions were up for election. The annual election results are as follows:
- There were no candidates for Position #6 for Property Owner or Businessperson.
- Meagan Teutsch won Position #7 for Property Owner.
- The elected candidates term begins July 2026.
The annual election for the Ballard Avenue Landmark District Board was held by mail, with ballots tabulated by a designee of the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods under the supervision of a person from the district at 2:00 PM on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Landmark District business Good Grief. The Ballard Avenue Landmark District is a nationally recognized historic district established in 1976 to commemorate the neighborhoods unique place in Ballards history.
The board is composed of seven members five elected by the Ballard Avenue Landmark District community and two appointed by the Mayor of Seattle. Board members typically serve two-year terms.
The Ballard Avenue Landmark District is coordinated by the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods Historic Preservation Program, which is responsible for the designation and protection of more than 400 historic structures, sites, objects, and vessels, as well as eight historic districts located throughout the city.
