Current Mayor Hass (R) vs Former Mayor Woellner (R) in Merrill Spring Election
MERRILL, Wis. (WAOW) - Last night, current mayor Steve Hass and former mayor Derek Woellner debated at a public forum hosted by The League of Women Voters of the Northwoods.
Mayor Hass is a lifelong citizen of Merrill and puts a big emphasis on his relationship with the people and with the city council.
“I have focused on increasing communication with the public and strengthening the relationship between city hall, and the employees that keep our city moving,” said Hass.
Hass wants to continue developing the city, while being mindful of taxpayer dollars and cut any unnecessary spending.
