If someone was bribed, then someone did the bribing.

America's football-challenged populace has little idea what a big deal this all is in the rest of the world not controlled by American media.

By the way, why do Americans call it "football" when the only time a foot is used is when kicking a field goal by one usually Euorpean actual football playing guy?
