Can anyone recommend a good brand of towels and washcloths?

I admit that I use towels and washcloths until they fall apart (years). Now is the time to replace what I have. Last year I bought what I thought were some decent washcloths from a decent department store -- they have not held up at all. I don't want to waste money on a brand that's going to fall apart.

Anyone have a recommendation?

The ones from JC Pennys fell apart -- but this was several years ago.

Our L. L. Bean bath towels, washcloths, hand towels and bath mats are now officially 10 years old. Not a stray thread in any of them!

They hold up extremely well and last for decades, depending on use.

I know you can buy cheaper towels but these are well made.

I bought the last ones in a store, but it was years ago and I don't remember which one! Good grief.

If I wanted any now, I'd probably go online with a good guarantee, just in case.

They carry quality merchandise and their return policy is great. Even after use.

Of all the towels I've bought during the last 13 years, the ones I got for $5 each at Penney's are still in great shape. Can't say that about the others (Lands End, mostly).
