Do you keep mustard in the refrigerator?

The reason I ask is, I always have. But oh, I think it’s MSN page that keep asking if you do that and saying that you shouldn’t. I am not gonna click on it because I have had experience with those kind of things and they show you tons of ads and keep going on and on and on And a lot of time Don’t even answer the question.

So I thought I’d ask a better source… You guys.

I don't think you actually HAVE to, because the high vinegar concentration in it helps prevent bacteria from forming, but keeping it in the fridge does help it last longer if you don't expect to use it up quickly.

Same with ketchup. You don't have to refrigerate it, but it'll last longer.

I keep mustard, catsup, mayo in fridge because jars say refrigerate after opening.

My late husband kept mustard in the cabinet until he met me when he was 39, and I informed him that he could die from doing that.

The thing is, that after 20 years of not refrigerating mustard, plus 19 years before that living with his parents, he had never eaten cold mustard. And at that time he and his parents were alive and well!
