WHO the HELL decided that scroll arrows had to go ?
Apple got rid of scroll arrows system-wide back in OSX 10.7, apparently because iTunes somehow forced it. Fortunately, I've been moving away from Macs, so that doesn't affect me much. But now all the browsers are getting rid of scroll arrows too. Firefox used to have themes that included scroll arrows but they were hard to find; now they seem to have disappeared altogether.
I've tried to search this with Google, but all I can find are blogs about how scroll arrows are not available in browser X but no explanation is given, and I can't find any browser or theme that has them, except possibly some themes available in Ubuntu through GTK3 (?)(IIRC)
Is there some browser or theme that you *know* still has scroll arrows ? I find it very hard to view many Web sites -- including DU -- without scrowl arrows in the browser. I still use OSX 10.6.8 for Web browsing because it makes that much of a difference. I am using Manjaro on several computers but there seems to be no simple way to find out which themes have scroll arrows and which don't.
BTW: Don't even try to tell me that "oh, you don't need scroll arrows any more because blah blah blah" because it is not true. I do need them, I do use them, and I can see no excuse for removing them.

On edit: I guess those are technically scroll BARS. See here http://help.opera.com/Windows/12.10/en/scroll.html

(39,753 posts)More exploration is called for, I guess. The problem is that you don't know if a them supports scroll arrows until you try it. There seems to be no way to search for them.
