Pages quit loading Firefox 52 on Windows Vista 32

I have a 10 year old Dell desktop running Vista 32. I notice that with Firefox 52 lots of pages hang trying to load. I tried refreshing Firefox and running in safe mode with addin disabled. This still doesn't fix it. I think the issue started with the last Firefox update,

I notice that my Windows 10 PC is running Firefox 54.0.1. I wonder if this issue is also blocking updates?

Dang it. I am not paying $119 to upgrade Vista to Windows 10. I guess it is time to retire the old Dell Inspiron.

Sadly.

Ended up with a "new" desktop bought on ebay for abt. $300.00.

It has Windows 7 on it.

So far no problems (had it since April).

Best of luck!

This is Mrs. Hokie's computer. It just needs to run a browser, email and Office. I hate having to upgrade. She doesn't like change so I have to go upstairs and explain where to find stuff or make things work.

I will probably get a bare bones HP but I also might give her my seven year old HP desktop and upgrade to something better.

You can get them at a decent price sometimes much less than $300

She can use it as a PC or a tablet.

Here is an example https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/2-in-1-laptop-tablet-pc_60130433259.html
