Can someone tell me why the "block" option on Hotmail is gone?

I'm getting so much junk on the Hotmail account that I'd like to close the whole account. However, there are some people or businesses that have that as my address. I have another account for personal use and a few new and unwanted addresses are now appearing. Someone must have sent me a message on the personal account and now I'm stuck. No way to block that one(Infinity-Comcast). Any ideas?

Since I'm not very literate on this infernal machine, any advice would be a great help.

.

Then, block will only show up on emails that didn't fully spoof or mask their sender information.

I thought the same thing at first. Then I poked around.

What I do is not read them so they stay Blue or reset them to Unread if I did select it.
1) I Block them so they go to Deleted, but remain Blue (unread).
2) I go to Deleted and select all of them that are Blue and click on the three dots ... and set to READ so they no longer show as unread.
3) I go to the Report option and report them all as Phishing emails.

This blocks them and marks the sender as a possible phisher to it will go into other people's spam folder, if enough report.

The first thing I do is clear out the ones from my InBox and Junk email so they all stay clustered at the top of the Deleted Emails folder so it's easier to manager them.
