Suggestion bar on Google on android phone

I'm using an android phone. When I get on google and touch the search bar, I get a little window with shortcut buttons to several sites like YouTube. I have no idea what this window is called and haven't found a way to delete buttons on it or to get rid of the window.

Any ideas?

...so I don't get any Google tracking of my location with advertising. I've been happier with it.

if you are using Samsung's instead. You can accept or ask that you be reminded later but cannot stop them from recurring.
