Yosemite (and other upgrades) not downloading

I have been following the instructions closely, not that there are a lot of them. I went to the App store, upgrades --I have one other app that needs an update-- and click on free upgrade and nothing happens. I tried the other update and again nothing. I can move around in the app store but no downloading.

My iMac is listed as one ready to upgrade and I have plenty of memory.

Any thoughts? Thanks

Downloading normally now, it appears it was at Apples end, no doubt high traffic.

hated it!! SO ugly. I've left my iMac with Mavericks. I have a whiz Mac friend that actually has a way to turn Yosemite back to Mavericks, so I'm going to do that on my laptop. Steve must be spinning!

Sorry - OT.
