iPhone for Tracfone at Target

This is a good deal if you want an iPhone but want to use your Tracfone account, too: Target has the iPhone SE, subsidized by Tracfone so that it is $199.99 rather than the retail price of $349.99.

You need to use it with Tracfone for at least a year, but with a cheap auto-refill plan you can have an iPhone for not much money, so why switch.

It has 32 GB memory and a 12mp camera.

2. Once you're free of any carriers contract they will unlock it and anyone else can insert a chip....

ATT were total jerks about it, but they did it, and T Mobile put their own chip in. My phone is going on three years. Earlier ones you were stuck w the carrier.

3. There isn't any actual contract as such. That's just what the guy at Target said.

I have an auto refill plan with Tracfone that costs me about $6 a month for 60 min, 60 texts and 60 MB data. That might not be much except that I have quite an accumulation of all three from my previous triple minutes phone because I'm a light user. I use WiFi a lot. If I ever run low I can buy a more expensive refill.

When I hear about $50+ a month plans with Verizon or whoever, I can only roll my eyes.

I've had two Android phones before this new iPhone. They were fine--first a flip phone and then a moto e smartphone. They were fine but the latter ran out of storage space all the time so I needed an upgrade.
