Looking for freeware to scan and FAX from my Win XP PC.

Don't remember what it's called, but it's there. You need a modem.
Or do you mean email to fax?

I ask because my local library has a printer/copier/scanner that I can scan/Email totally free of charge.
If Emailing of the scanned document is an option, check with your local library.
