While not a Milei fan nor one for giving them $20B to try and sway the election, wonder if Argentina will ever recover? dutch777 1 hr ago #3

The economic woes of Argentina have been a constant burn for what, 2 decades? And while Milei may be too hard line he has at least tried to actually change course enough to make a difference. Like Trump, he has frequently put the cart before the horse and knowing XY & Z needs to be cut or rejiggered, he does so but has put nothing else new in place to support the basic needs of the people when the pain hits. Trump may have made some headway on his reshoring manufacturing to the US if he had first put in place policies that made that easier and quicker BEFORE he put tariffs in place. All he has done is managed to tax average Americans from a 1,000 different angles, freeze business capital spending as businesses see no certainty that justifies a multi-year capital spend when no one knows what dumb idea or Exec Order will come out of DC next. From polling I have seen not sure even our $20b gift will help Milei much.
