US Charges Mexico's Sinaloa Governor with drug trafficking - DW News

US prosecutors have charged the governor of Mexico’s Sinaloa state and nine other current and former officials with drug trafficking and weapons offenses, according to an indictment unsealed in New York.

Authorities say the accused helped the Sinaloa Cartel move fentanyl and other drugs into the United States. None of the defendants are in US custody, and Mexico says it has received extradition requests.

The case raises new pressure on Mexico’s government and deepens tensions over corruption, sovereignty, and cartel violence.

He doesn't dare go after Sheinbaum, so he's going to start picking off the leaders of various Mexican states?

How about we do something in this country to help Americans not get on drugs in the first place and get treatment when the monkey is already on their backs?

When people have access to jobs, industry, housing, food, shelter, clothing and medical care, they are less likely to seek out drugs.

But, in the meantime, he's just going to send his DOJ around the world like he owns the place.

Supply meets demand. And the money from American drug consumers finances the cartel's operations and weapons purchases. The cartel's firearms come mostly from mass purchases in Texas and Florida where gun shops are allowed to operate without a federal license and the greedy a-holes sell to anybody including potential school shooters.
