With fear and trepidation, I tried to log into my account, and this was the response, preceeded by a big, red exclamation point:

“This service is not available at this time.

Please try again during our regular service hours (Eastern Time)”

Or did you try and sign in via ssa.gov and using an already established username and password?

I have been tracking what is going on w/these letters.

I got a similar letter, and did not click the hyperlink. One of the things that is strange is that the email says it originated from ssa.gov. I called my local office, and they said they don't send emails.

There is a lot of conflicting info coming from the Soc. Security Administration right now.

the latest (12/28/24) being from do-not-reply-message-center@ssa.gov
and ones from no-reply@ssa.gov
and several from subscription.service@subscriptions.ssa.gov

The one with my annual benefit amount is from subscription.service@subscriptions.ssa.gov
and asks me to click a link and log in to see my benefits amounts

Some just say:

You elected to receive email notifications when there is a new item in your my Social Security Message Center.

You have a new message at my Social Security. You may log in to your account https://secure.ssa.gov/RIL to view new Message Center items.
