I'm halfway through and he's got a great fundamental perspective that debt and money are claims on future energy and future ecosystem trashing. It's a useful, thoughtful perspective.

thesis about energy. I also appreciate his regard for truth, and the value of our environment. Actuallly, the way he describes our world and its ecomony is that the envoronment comes first and the economy is built from this. We destroy our environment and we destoy ourselves. Very similar to the Native American philosophy which states that if you despoil the cloth of life you despoil yourself, as we are all intertwined.
