'The EU has done its homework' What's Europe's master plan in dealing with US tariffs? - DW News

US President Donald Trump is shaking up global trade again with his latest tariffs on steel and aluminum coming into effect. The 25 percent tax applies to all imports of the metals into the U-S and has drawn condemnation from traditional allies. The European Union says it's slapping its own tariffs on 26 Billion euros worth of US goods in response. The European tariffs will come into effect next month, and cover a wide range of products including alcohol, diamonds, and dental floss. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the EU remains open to negotiating with the White House.
