Crackdown in Kyiv: SBU Raids Anti-Corruption Agency - TVP World News - TVP WORLD



Our main stories today:
• Ukraine’s security services, the SBU, are going after the country’s main anti-corruption agency over alleged ties to Russia. Some officials have been arrested, and dozens of searches have been conducted as part of the crackdown.

• The new Ukrainian Prime Minister has announced she will approach the International Monetary Fund and the United States for additional loans. Speaking with Bloomberg, Yuliia Svyrydenko said additional funds are needed to purchase new weaponry.

• A man accused of fatally shooting a Polish professor in Greece has told investigators he acted alone. The accused denied receiving any instructions from the professor’s ex-wife, who is charged with arranging the killing, after court documents revealed the victim was ‘living in fear’ of his former spouse.
