Kremlin Security On The Brink

Jason Jay Smart tells uys why Chechnya's now threatened line of succession is such bad news for Putin.

Glad to see someone else shared my reaction to Ada, Khadyrov's terrible accident: fortuitous or faked? The former meaning he was in a rigged accident and the latter meaning the whole thing was faked so he could be with his dying daddy in Moscow instead of in Chechnya where he'd be needed when his daddy dies.

I don't tatrust any news from that region, honestly.

In any case, Russia is now weaker than it was for either Chechen war. I think Smart's analysis of what will happen when Khadyrov pegs out is right on the money and it won't matter where his kid is.
