Related: About this forumOrban concedes, congratulates Magyar, Tisza Supermajority Very Likely TVP World News
Our main stories tonight:
ORBÁN OUT, MAGYAR IN
This years Hungarian elections will go down in history not only for the record-breaking turnout, but also for ending Viktor Orbán and his Fidesz partys 16 years in power. With more than half of the votes counted, it seems very likely his contender, Péter Magyars Tisza party, will hold a supermajority in parliament, allowing it to reverse many of Fideszs illiberal reforms.
HUNGARY HAS CHOSEN EUROPE
Orbán began his political career as a liberal Christian democrat, promising to bring Hungary closer to Europe. Over his 16 years in power, however, he kept butting heads with Brussels at every turn, making his anti-EU stance his hallmark. How are European officials reacting to the prospect of being rid of Budapest as the illiberal Trojan horse of Putin and Trump?
CZECH FOREIGN MINISTRY VS. THE PRESIDENT
A governmental dispute is making waves in the Czech Republic after President Petr Pavel publicly criticized Donald Trump, saying in recent weeks, Trump has done more to undermine NATOs credibility than Vladimir Putin managed to in years.
