because he is a techie with no military background, at all. He was amazing at most of his job, pushing tech innovation while being effective at killing access to Starlink for Russia, a massive achievement in itself. He just wasn't a military man with military training and that sort of strategc thinking. He was in charge of the money and some of what he was doing was not cost effective.

I hope for Ukraine's sake that Fedorov puts his pride in his pocket and accepts a high level job that makes full use of his talents without his military blind spot showing so clearly.

Zelensky made the right choice here, although my Spidey sense says he'd probably have preferred Fedorov in less dire circumstances.

Give them all a while to cool down and hope Fedorov is a patriot. If he isn't, he's going to have a lot of countries bidding for his talents.
