what did the Israelis think would happen if Netanyahu regained power again?

Of course it would be remiss to ignore the fact that this is exactly what Hamas wanted, and has wanted since their inception before they branched off from the Muslim Brotherhood, the group behind the killing of Sadat.

To sabotage any efforts at peace. That has been their goal since their formation.

VP Harris made it clear what she would do if elected:

1. Ceasefire
2. Release all hostages
3. Engage in negotiations for a two-state solution
4. Rebuild Gaza

and that is something Hamas never wanted, and I am not sure those who refused to vote for VP Harris, that were against was happening in Gaza thought they would accomplish if trump regained the presidency?

Well I guess they know now.
