I was taken to see "HMS Pinafore" when I was 4 or 5, but I already knew a lot of the songs because we had a book with the words and music and illustrations, and my dad would sit down with me and my brother and sing to us from the book. I still have that book; it was one I requested when my parents died and we were dividing their possessions.

did a production of this with the girl's private school a few blocks away. It was really good.
