Women on Waves safe abortion Hotline launched M
On May 18th, a safe abortion hotline was launched by feminist activists in Venezuela. The hotline offers scientific and reliable information about how women can safely use misoprostol to have an abortion in their own home. Within one hour of launching, the hotline had already received its first call. In Venezuela abortion is illegal except when the woman's life is in danger
The hotline “Abortion: Safe Information†was launched in Venezuela on May 18,2011. Women in Venezuela can now call 0426 1169496 and get information about the safe use of misoprostol in case of unwanted pregnancy.
