My limited take on Amazon Prime original shows

I watch a lot of Acorn and Britbox. They seem to be able to remain true to the characters personalities and story line when adapting a book series Vera, Shetland, Rebus and more.

Prime Originals that work well are Bosch and Good Omens. The last is actually a Brit production.

Wheel of time and Rings of Power lost me in the first episodes.
